The DEX project will highlight fresh, experimental or long-established innovative Hungarian artists over the coming months. From Wednesday to Sunday, across three venues, we aim not just to showcase them but to build a community and platform rooted in cultural thinking, in contrast to the club scene driven by fleeting trends.
Nyte primarily operates in the drum & bass genre. He promotes his music through active stylistic shifts, remixes, and bootlegs on SoundCloud—and it has been a massive hit with the dnb audience. He’s also played at venues like Arzenál, showing that more and more people in the local scene are taking notice of him.
Bug may be the most popular Hungarian drum & bass DJ right now. She’s a skilled DJ who blends dnb, jungle, grime, and other British bass styles in his sets. She hosted Radio X’s Night Bass Session, inviting local artists to play live every Wednesday night from midnight to 1 AM. Recently, she was sponsored by Burn and even won a trip to Ibiza—here’s to continued success!
Lazanoise is one of the driving forces behind Budapest’s drum & bass scene. He’s also listed on Resident Advisor, and since 2021 he’s taken on many technical roles—DJ, producer, organizer, promoter. On Instagram, he consistently shows that he’s working tirelessly for the local drum & bass culture. He’s a regular presence at domestic dnb events, active at DEX nights, Niteflexx-associated parties and more.
Hurrt is a pretty exciting producer and DJ. He was one of the winners of the Jägermeisters’ Hangadó competition. A few years back, he plunged deeper into nightlife culture along the riddim path. His tracks are high-quality but simultaneously wildly filthy (in the best possible way)—though that’s subjective! These days, his sound leans most closely toward Neuro and Riddim.
Entry is free until midnight.
Entry only for 18+. The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry and to change the venue or program.
